The financials sector booked the biggest gains in the S&P 500 index, rising around 3.2% Monday, as Wall Street banks JPMorgan Chase & Co. /zigman2/quotes/205971034/composite JPM -0.90% and Citigroup Inc. /zigman2/quotes/207741460/composite C -1.52% each jumped around 6%, preliminary FactSet data show.
