Dow Inc.'s shares have climbed $1.79, or 3.0%, while those of Boeing have climbed $6.91, or 2.9%, combining for an approximately 57-point bump for the Dow. Caterpillar /zigman2/quotes/203434128/composite CAT +0.67% , American Express /zigman2/quotes/203805826/composite AXP -0.19% , and Chevron /zigman2/quotes/205871374/composite CVX -0.41% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.58-point swing.
