Caterpillar's shares have climbed $8.62 (4.0%) while those of Dow Inc. have climbed $2.37, or 3.9%, combining for an approximately 72-point bump for the Dow. Chevron /zigman2/quotes/205871374/composite CVX -0.41% , American Express /zigman2/quotes/203805826/composite AXP -0.19% , and Honeywell International Inc. /zigman2/quotes/205583690/composite HON +0.94% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the Dow's 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
