'Go get the booster,' Biden says to eligible U.S. residents

President Joe Biden on Friday addressed top U.S. health officials' decision on booster shots for COVID-19 vaccines, saying "the majority of Americans who were fully vaccinated with the Pfizer (NYS:PFE) vaccine are now able to receive the booster shot six months after they've received their second shot." He said eligible U.S. residents include people 65 and older, people 18 and over with certain underlying health conditions like diabetes and obesity, and those who are at increased risk of COVID-19 because of where they work or where they live, such as health-care workers, teachers and grocery-store workers. "Go get the booster," Biden said to eligible U.S. residents. When asked about ineligible people who are getting boosters, the president said they should wait their turn, as eligibility for the extra jabs probably will be expanded at some point "basically across the board."
