Nordson Corp. (NAS:NDSN) shares dropped in the extended session Monday after the polymer and adhesives maker's sales results and revenue forecast fell short of Wall Street estimates. Nordson shares fell 8.5% after hours, following a less than 0.1% rise to close the regular session at $134.69. For the fourth quarter, Nordson estimates earnings of $1.38 to $1.54 a share on 4% lower to flat revenue from the year-ago quarter, or a range of $550.9 million to $573.9 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect earnings of $1.51 a share on revenue of $588.8 million. The company reported third-quarter net income of $94.9 million, or $1.61 a share, compared with $101.5 million, or $1.74 a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue declined to $581.2 million from $589.4 million in the year-ago period. Analysts had estimated $1.60 a share on revenue of $590.8 million.
