Oracle plans another appeal in $10 billion government cloud award

Oracle Corp. (NYS:ORCL) plans another appeal in the imminent award of a massive federal government procurement its General Counsel Dorian Daley says was "unlawful on several grounds." The $10 billion Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI), is expected to be awarded by the Defense Department in September. Microsoft Corp. (NAS:MSFT) and Inc. (NAS:AMZN) are finalists for the cloud deal after Oracle and International Business Machines Corp. (NYS:IBM) were eliminated earlier this year. Oracle sued, claiming Amazon had an unfair advantage because of a conflict of interest, but a judge dismissed the case last month.
