Leo Leydon of Financial Focus Advisory Services in Pembroke, Mass. says that while investors may want to go bargain-hunting in the financial services sector right now, they don't want to do it with Citigroup, Washington Mutual and Countrywide Financial. In a radio interview, Leydon noted that avoiding those stocks - in favor of names like Bank of America, American Express and Ameriprise Financial - makes sense from both a technical and fundamental standpoint.
