The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DOW:DJIA) closed up 0.03%, on a preliminary basis, to end at around 34,292, buoyed by Nike Inc. (NYS:NKE) and Home Depot (NYS:HD) . Shares of Boeing Co. (NYS:BA) proved a drag on blue chips for a second day.
