Vera Bradley Inc. /zigman2/quotes/205998604/composite VRA +0.92% reported fourth-quarter net income of $7.9 million, or 23 cents per share, down from $12.5 million, or 37 cents per share, last year. Adjusted EPS of 42 cents beat the FactSet consensus for 39 cents. Revenue fell to $142.4 million from $156.9 million last year and missed the FactSet consensus for $152.0 million. Vera Bradley has named Daren Hull as president of the Vera Bradley brand. He was previously chief customer officer. For fiscal 2022, Vera Bradley is guiding for revenue of $550 million to $575 million, EPS of 80 cents to 90 cents, and adjusted EPS that will meet or exceed the pre-pandemic fiscal 2020 total of 82 cents. The FactSet consensus is for revenue of $533.5 million and EPS of 96 cents. Vera Bradley stock fell 1.6% in Wednesday premarket trading, but has rallied 72.6% over the last year. The S&P 500 index /zigman2/quotes/210599714/realtime SPX +1.06% is up 34.5% for the past 12 months.
