Walmart's shares are up $7.18, or 5.4%, while those of Home Depot have risen $8.65, or 2.8%, combining for a roughly 104-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are IBM /zigman2/quotes/203856914/composite IBM -2.79% , Walgreens Boots /zigman2/quotes/203410933/composite WBA -2.74% , and Dow Inc. /zigman2/quotes/203121064/composite DOW -1.17% . A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.59-point swing.
