The Magic Kingdom is shutting down in Florida for a few days. Walt Disney Co. /zigman2/quotes/203410047/composite DIS -0.30% on Tuesday announced it will shutter all four of its Orlando-based theme parks -- Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Magic Kingdom -- on Wednesday and Thursday as Hurricane Ian bears down on the west coast of Florida. The company has canceled Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser voyages set to depart Tuesday and Thursday, and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park will halt operations Wednesday and Thursday. Blizzard Beach is already closed. The National Hurricane Center said the storm is careening toward Tampa and will likely pass over central Florida, where the Disney parks are located.
