Aug 18, 2021 (MarketNewsVideo.com via COMTEX) -- In trading on Wednesday, the Rare Earth/Strategic Metals ETF (REMX) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.9% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Standard Lithium (SLI.CA), up about 10.1% and shares of Livent (LTHM), up about 2.2% on the day.

And underperforming other ETFs today is the iShares MSCI Global Metals & Mining Producers ETF (PICK), down about 1.6% in Wednesday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Wednesday were shares of Piedmont Lithium (PLL), lower by about 4%, and shares of MP Materials Corp (MP), lower by about 2.6% on the day.
